'I can honestly say, I love what I do. I’ve been specializing in reverse mortgages for many years, and I find I don’t even pay attention to how many hours I’m working because to me, it’s not really work. My passion is the work I do and I’m rewarded frequently by seeing the benefits my clients receive after getting a reverse mortgage. I’m fortunate to be able to offer a program that truly makes people’s lives better. I love getting to know my clients and find their lives interesting and I learn so much from each and every person.

Let me tell you about my background. I grew up in a small town in Northern California and went to college at CSU, Sacramento where I earned a degree in Music, specifically Piano Performance.

I married Mike O’Connell our Junior year and after graduation we moved to Michigan where Mike started his career in construction engineering. We had two boys while in Michigan and had an opportunity to move back to California for a job assignment near San Luis Obispo. We had our daughter and raised our family on the beautiful central coast. I taught music as our children we’re growing up, but found my teaching schedule didn’t fit with the children’s activities. I decided on a career with flexible hours, got my real estate license and began a learning the lending business.

After a few years, I discovered my niche as a Reverse Mortgage Consultant with the reverse mortgage division of Household Bank, the program was discontinued after a few years. I was then hired by TransAmerica in San Francisco offering their private Jumbo Reverse Mortgages. It was also discontinued after a few years and at that point I joined Seattle Mortgage where I was Branch Manager and Reverse Mortgage Specialist for a number of years. During that period I earned a Masters in Business from University of Phoenix.

In July, 2007 Seattle sold the reverse mortgage division to Bank of America. I kept my branch intact and joined Seniors Reverse Mortgage and created the dba, Reverse Mortgages of Nevada.In April 2010, I moved my branch to American Pacific Mortgage in order to provide my clients the security of a nationally recognized Mortgage Banker.

My focus has turned even more to working directly with my clients. I may not meet them all in person, but I feel I am better able to serve people well by being available at my phone and computer, following the loan process closely and staying in close contact with my clients.

Education and knowledge is the key to creating opportunities and eliminating fear. You can’t afford to make a mistake, I know that. I want to discuss what is important to you, get questions answered and explore the options that may be best for you.'
